 . When it comes to gravel cycling\, Trinidad is a go-to destination in Col
 orado. The area features smooth\, fast\, challenging\, and super-scenic ro
 ads! We will make a return to this area with this Challenge Series ride. T
 he total loop is 75 miles with around 5000 feet of climbing. Here is the c

 ly longer option we can evaluate as we get closer\, this follows primarily
  the same route however goes farther North and West at a higher elevation.
  Will depend on snow pack and groups energy level as this would extend to

 es/53849422 And because it is remote\, be sure your bike tuned beforehand 
 (when was the last time you refreshed your sealant?!). While we always loo
 k out for one another on rides\, it's also respectful to others to show up
  with a bike that ready to ride. Also note that options to stop at a store
  and refuel are limited\, so bring plenty of water. The plan is to meet ju
 st outside the entrance to Trinidad Lake State Park on highway CO-12\, whe
 re there is space for parking off the highway\, at 7:45 for an 8:00 depart
 ure. There is a good variety of hotels and places to camp in the area for 
 people heading down on Friday night. Please note in the ride comments here
  if you are looking to share a room with someone. As with all RMCC rides\,
  this is a drop ride although we will regroup on a periodic basis. For tho
 se who want to stay the weekend\, we will also be posting a Saturday ride 
 and shorter Sunday ride. This should be a fun weekend and a way to see an 
 area of the state most of us have just driven by--please join us! Finally\
 , non-dues-paying members are welcome and invited to join us on any ride!
