About this ride
Note this this ride has a split start location, with the [long ride](meetup.com/rocky-mountain-cycling-club-rmcc/events/313058981) starting from Golden at 6:00 and this shorter option starting from Bergen Park at 7:30.

Back in 2026 after a hiatus due to road work last year. Being able to ride up to 14,000 feet is one of the unique opportunities we have near Denver, so please join us for this ride! We'll meet at the Bergen Park P&R at 7:30 for a 7:45 (sharp) departure. Note this this is slightly earlier than our usual start time so we can hopefully stay ahead of any inclement weather.

This ride is 65 miles with 7700 feet of climbing. It's not particularly steep, but it is continuous climbing the whole way up except for a couple short descents into Echo Lake and Summit Lake.

Key Notes about this ride:
--There is the possibility of getting water at the Echol Lake campground, but there are otherwise no services on the route.
--As we do get above 14,000 feet on this ride, please use good mountain sense--bring plenty of clothes, food, and hydrate well. If the weather starts looking iffy, head down before it actually gets bad!
--While they did a lot of work around Summit Lake last year, this road is quite rough. Somewhat wider tires at lower pressures does make it more pleasant.

Non-dues-paying members are welcome and invited to join us on any ride! After three rides we do require that you join the club: [rockymountaincyclingclub.com/rmcc-membership-application-fo…membership-application-form)
