About this ride
When it comes to gravel/MTB cycling, Trinidad is a go-to destination in Colorado. The area features smooth, fast, challenging, and super-scenic roads and new MTB trails at Fishers Peak State Park! We will make a return to this area with this RMCC MTB ride.
The total ride is 14 miles with around 2100 feet of climbing. Here is the route:

And because it is remote, be sure your bike tuned beforehand (when was the last time you refreshed your sealant?!). While we always look out for one another on rides, it's also respectful to others to show up with a bike that ready to ride. Also note that options to stop at a store and refuel are limited, so bring plenty of water.
The plan is to meet at the Fishers Peak State Park Trailhead at 7:45 for an 8:00 departure.
There is a good variety of hotels and places to camp in the area for people heading down on Friday night. Please note in the ride comments here if you are looking to share a room with someone.
As with all RMCC rides, this is a drop ride although we will regroup on a periodic basis.
For those who want to stay the weekend, we also have Friday and Saturday gravel rides! This should be a fun weekend and a way to see an area of the state most of us have just driven by--please join us!
Please note that for mountain biking events that RMCC dues-paying membership is **required** to do the ride. rockymountaincyclingclub.com/rmcc-membership-application-form
